Must Watch Speech Nepali best actress Sumina Ghimire

This has to be one of the most hilarious speech given by any award winners. Why do they choose to speak in English when they know they are not good at it. Its absolutely fine to speak in Nepali and people should not be ashamed to say that they are not comfortable talking in English. No one is going to judge them for not knowing English. Such a poor delivery of speech is very humiliating for herself.

Sumnima Ghimire lesson for you : Either learn English or stick to Nepali Language.

Nepali Movie – Maya’s Bar (Pre-release Review)

New Nepali movie "Maya's Bar" is releasing on 3rd August 2012. It features Rajesh Hamal, Nisha Adhikari, Gajit Bista and Karishma Manandhar. Famous media personality Dinesh DC is the director of the movie.

This movie is very important for Rajesh Hamal, (as he can be seen in a negative role for the first time), Karishma Manandhar (her first come back movie after a long time), Nisha Adhikari (fans high expectations after the success of her movie Apabad).

The budget of the movie is more than a crore and is targeted to both city and rural audiences. Although made with latest technology and hypes, it is still a formula movie. Everyone is having a high hopes for the movie and waiting for this movie to come out.

My thoughts on Shristi Shrestha- Miss Nepal 2012

Ok guys have to write this.. Everyone is talking about Shristi Shrestha and her beauty and what not..People are having high hopes from her..But all I want to say is lets not keep our hopes high...I am not trying to spit the negativity about her but come on lets be honest and realistic here...Beauty is not the only criteria that takes to win Miss World. There is no doubt in my mind that she is impeccably beautiful with nice and sexy body..but I am not sure about her personality and confidence...

I can easily see her winning "America's Next Top Model" as she has got the perfect modelling face but I am not quite convinced about she winning Miss World 2012.
Miss World is not about being beautiful...If that was the case Priyanka Chopra wud have never won Miss World Title...Miss world is about everything; beauty, brain , personality, confidence and right attitude..I kind of believe Shristi Shrestha lacks few of these traits..

I have watched some of her interviews and I have noticed that she lacks the attitude and the personality..The way she talks and answer her questions seems so rehearsed..What reallyyyy bothers me is that she talks toooo low....I have to glue my ear to the TV or my computer to understand what she is saying...I cannot believe that she grew up in LONDOn....I don't expect her to have an English Accent but come on atleast speak up with an attitude...

If you check out her pictures she looks absolutely stunning and gorgeous but like I said I don't have my hopes high for her....I will be ecstatic to find out if she brings home the MISS WORLD 2012 CROWN but i guess for that we have to wait and watch.....However I wish her all the very best for the upcoming contest...

I am shared some of her interview videos....

Choli Chhoto Bho - Another Nepali Item Song Ft. Soniya KC

After "Udreko Choli" here comes another Nepali Item Song "Choli Chhoto bho" ...I guess the next one would be "mero choli harayo launa khoji dew na sathi"

I don't know why Nepali directors and film makers are so obsessed with "Choli" these days...Well I guess whatever sells more they are going to go with that...Personally I don't like the song...I didn't find any wow factor in this song other than some cheap dance moves and senseless lyrics..

Its from the movie "Bhyihalcha ni" and Soniya KC is the item dancer of this song.

So called Nepali model.....

This is my second post about our so called Nepali models where nudity has become a norm...I am appalled at the images that I have came across over the internet...I have nothing against modelling career and the growing hype towards Nepali entertainment business. But it really disturbs me when people forget to draw a line between elegance and vulgarity. Modelling is not just about showing cleavage, and exposing their body parts in an obscene way. It's an art which is beautifully captured by professional photographers, choreographers and hard working models.
However in many cases of Nepali modelling profession these essential ingredients seems to be lacking and missing.

Its very unfortunate that because of these images the whole modelling profession is scrutinized and stigmatized in your society. I feel sorry for these self acclaimed models who appear nothing but as an sexual object in their photo shoot. Media take no time to glamorize their nudity in the name of modelling, encouraging such acts in a shameless manner.

Take a look at our so called Nepali Model to see what I am talking about....

Why Nepali Actresses are being targeted in Movie Industry

Nepali Movie Industry has been criticized for a long time for its incompetency to make a quality movie. This is the main reason why Nepali audiences are more inclined to Bollywood industries. Its only after the release and the immense success of LOOT, Nepali audience got confidence in the Nepali movie industry. Movie makers have finally understood the expectations of new generation and are more determined to make good movies. I am sure in coming days, more good and meaningful movies would be released.

However, one thing I don't understand is why the media is so much after Nepali Actresses. There is a desperate cry from Nepali audience for something better and quality movies. But whenever the movies come out actresses are always criticized for their bold scenes and sexuality. Why can't we accept that its part of the entertainment industry and we have to respect our actresses for taking that stand to be part of the movies.

Now talking about Chapali Heights, the controversial movie, Binita Baral has been constantly put under the microscope for doing some bold scenes. I don't understand why she is being so much targeted by the media and reporters. It was part of her job and I don't think she did anything indecent. Why is it okay for us to adore Hollywood and Bollywood actress for such a scene but why not our own Nepali Actresses? Why do they have to explain everyone over and over again about their roles in the movies...Why can't we just watch the movie, accept it , respect it and move on....

If you watch the below interview with the Binita Baral, you can see how the reporter is purposefully trying to disrespect Binita. A reporter cannot have a biased opinion while interviewing any person. If you watch the interview carefully Binita Baral stands on her ground and gracefully answers all his question...

I think people need to grow up and accept that it is a part of the Entertainment business and respect Nepali Actresses...

Binita Baral about Chapali Heights

I guess everyone knows Binita Baral by now...She is the sensational actress of Chapali Heights movie. Chapali Heights movie is also one the most talked about movies in Nepali Cinema for its obscene contents and scenes. See what Binita Baral has to say about the movie...

If you ask me I don't have any problem with movies that have sexual content in it as long as the movie delivers good message to the society. My only problem is when movie producer and directors choose SEX as the only means to promote their movies.

Police Interrogate Chapali Height Girl-Binita Baral

Baral after the release of Chapali Height movie has risen to fame with her bold and sexy scenes in the movie. For some reason it looks like Binita Baral cannot stay away from controversies!!

Police arrested television model Nishal Karki and briefly detained actress Binita Baral last nite (June 21, 2012) for allegedly harassing her Chapali Height co-star Raj Ghimire. Though the complaint was filed against Karki, Baral was summoned to establish if she was also involved in cyber crime, police said. Baral claimed that the accusation was baseless.

According to the source, Ghimire filed an FIR against Karki for harassing him and sending threats through Facebook.

I guess after the success of Chapali Height people have gone crazy...sending threats to people through facebook and all....I am not sure when did it become a new trend in Nepal...Well its funny how things are going...
I am not sure who is guilty but for now Karki is still in police custody and Binita Baral was in the police station to refute the charge against karki whom she said was like her brother...

Not sure who is telling the truth...I guess we will have to wait to find out...

Hari Bansha marries again!!!

Our favorite of all Mr. Hari Bansha has tied knot for the second time at the age of 53. Mr Hari Bansha's wife passed away few years back. His new bride, Ramila Pathak is a single mother whose husband passed away ten years ago in an accident. She has a 21 year old son. Mr.Bansha has two sons from his 30 years marriage to Meera.

His wedding took place at the residence of the bride's sister in Kathmandu and only selected members were present for the wedding. Mr. Bansha seems very exited and happy to open new chapter of his life and I am also very happy for the newly wed.

When I first heard about his second marriage I was not sure how to react. In our society men re-marrying at old age is not that uncommon and is not frowned upon. Our society only reacts when women get married for the second time...

But I guess this case is unique. It would have been really bad if he had gotten married to some girl half of his age. But thankfully he got married to a single mother and I hope both of them will be supportive of each other....

My best wishes to Mr. Bansha and Ramila!!!!

Sushma Karki Looking BINDAAS

BINDAAS the upcoming movie is already stirring people's interest. I am not sure the credit goes to film maker of the hot and sizzling picture of Sushma Karki.
Sushma Karki, after the success of Udreko Choli, cannot run away from the limelight. She is the most desirable actress at the current stage.

I am sure after looking at the above poster everyone is curious about her performance in the movie. She is bold and beautiful and I wish her all the best for her upcoming movie.. Lets see what people has to say about her...

Funny how the picture looks... Girl pressing her boobs from two side with blood all over her body ..not sure what the poster is trying to portray.. definitely not BINDAAS though

Dozen girls have committed suicide after failing SLC exam

The pass percentage of SLC is only 47.16 form 55.50 percent last year. This result has shocked the whole nation. Not sure whom to be blamed; parents , school, government, our education system or the student itself. Worst of all is dozen of girls have committed suicide after failing the exam..
I am deeply sadden by this news..

I strongly believe parents are to be blamed for the growing suicide rate among girls. Kids are put under lot of pressure by their parents. How can 15 or 16 years old handle that much pressure? Girls are mentally and emotionally tortured everyday to pass the exam in flying colors. Not everyone is equipped to work under pressure, which parents don't understand at all..

Even after passing SLC there are equally other tough exams that a students have to go through. But what I fail to understand is why is SLC given so much attention and limelight by the media and parents saying that it is the iron gate of the life..

I don't think its any sort of iron gate or whatever gate...i think its just a regular exam that every other students go through...

However I am sad that lot of girls have committed suicide and I hope and pray that the mentality of parents , education system gets better...

Sex --The new way to promote Nepali movies

After watching the "ATM", Nepali movie trailer , I am fully convinced that Nepali movie directors are using SEX to promote their movies. "ATM" seems to have unnecessary vulgar words and cheap sex scenes which i doubt will do any good to the movies.

The success of Loot has definitively given a new hope and direction to the Nepali movie industry. But it looks like our directors are failing to understand the true essence of LOOT movie. Loot was a complete piece of art with right mixture of everything (good direction, acting, and simplicity)

But using these cheap words and baseless story line will only mislead the audience and wont do any good to the future of Nepali movie cinema....

Is Kollywood being influenced by Bollywood or Vice Versa????

I came across this Movie trailer "Hate Story" and was amazed to see how bold the Bollywood movie industry has gotten over the years... The obscene languages and scenes has no doubt left everyone with a question of Bollywood's future adventures in these kinds of movie making. Not often I talk about Bollywood and compare Bollywood to Kollywood, but is our Nepali Movie industry following Bollywood foot steps? After seeing Chapali Heights and Last Kiss trailer I am not sure who is following whom .... Not that I am saying one is better than the other but see the trailer of "Hate Story" and "Last kiss" to see what I am talking about...

Chapali Height Poster Change----SERIOUSLY????

Well I have to say this is really really really absurd....To begin with I dint think for a second that the original posters of Chappli Height were that disturbing....but when the police didn’t allow the posters and hoarding board advertisement of Chapali Height to be displayed in the public, the film makers were forced to re-design the poster.

In the new poster the nude actors are featured wearing clothes. The designers have photoshoped the posters to add cloths... WELL WHAT CAN I SAY......I GUESS WHAT EVER IS BEST FOR JANTA..:)

Better comparison of the posters:

Nepali Guy Arrested for killing Girlfriend

I am not sure how to react on these kinds of news anymore....Its such a shame that killing each others has become a norm in our country. I am stunned by these sort of heinous crime committed by our so called new generation or lets say youth of our country.

A guy makes a girl pregnant and the only way he saw himself getting out of the situation is by killing her. WOW!!! When things like this happens I fail to understand whom to blame for this whole situation. There is no doubt in my mind that the GUY is solely responsible for taking someone else's life. In this case killing two lives. One of the girl and one of the fetus. I hope he rots in hell for doing this....

I hope the Victim in this case the Girl Rests in Peace. I am truly saddened by the below news....

-----

Police arrested 21 years old youth on charge of killing his girlfriend.

Saughat Dhakal from Kapilbastu currently living in Kupondole has been charged for killing his girlfriend Bhawana Karki. 25 years old Karki, a native of Gatthaghar Bhaktapur, was living in a rented room at Jwagal, Kupondole and used to work at a call centre of Baneshwor.

The incident was occurred on March 23, but, the murder came to the light only after the week-long-closed door of the room was opened yesterday. There was a deep cut on her throat by a sharp Khukuri, according to police.

During investigation, it has been found that Karki was five week pregnant and she was constantly pressing Dhakal and his mother for marriage. According to police, Dhakal has confessed of murder and during interrogation he has said that Karki has warned him to kill his mother if he did not marry her.

It is also learnt that Dhakal had been in relationship with another girl as well.

Earlier in August also, girlfriend was murdered and Lalitpur closure was announced in protest against it which has heated the capital.

Nepali Actresses NOW!!!

Arunima Lamsal
Binita Baral
Jharana Bajracharya
Jharana Thapa
Namrata Shrestha
Nisha Adhikari
Reecha Sharma
Rejina Uprety
Rekha Thapa
Richa Singh
Sanchita Luitel

These actresses are now the new faces of Nepali Film Industry and they seem to be doing pretty good to sustain themselves in the movie industry....But the question is how long these actresses are going to last and what kind of mark they will leave in the nepali movie industry....Do they have what it takes to be a legendary actresses in future or are they going to just fade away in year or so....

Among them my If I have to pick, Namrata Shrestha and Reecha Sharma are only ones whom I admire for their acting...Rest of them are pretty known for doing the bold scenes or exposing themselves too much to gain the lime light....

Nisha Adhikari, I am not really sure about her acting but it looks like she is more interested in knowing and understanding the whole process of making movies...

Now and then you will always hear some controversies with these actress...Be it Binita Baral of Chapali Heights or Rekha Thapa for her boldness...But one thing for sure, Nepali actresses of today's generation knows what it takes to be successful and they are not going to compromise with anything......
