See what Hari Bansha has to say about his second marriage!!!

After the demise of his first wife, Hari Bansha got married for the second time with Ramila Pathak couple of days back. With an interview with Annapurna post, this is what he has to say about his marriage

Q: How did you decide on getting married again?

This is due to the situation and the circumstances. My younger son Mohit and Ramila's son are friends and they started talking about our marriage in the beginning. It is due to Basundhara didi and Madan Krishna dai that I have decided to get married.

Q: What was your thoughts and opinion about your marriage?
First of all, I didn't do anything that I wasn't supposed to do. Living alone is tough and challenging. One who has gone through this ordeal can only empathize me. I still have a long life ahead of me and there is so much I have to do. To live alone rest of my life would be really hard that is why I have decided to remarry again. If I was too old then probably I wouldn't have gotten married again.

Q: How was it like to live that 14 months after the demise of Meera Bhauju?
For quite some time I was constantly thinking about her. However, it is almost impossible to live like that. No matter what life goes on and I have to work. Madan Dai and bhauju tried a lot to convince me. I used to alone at home and lots of unwanted thoughts used to come to my mind. At that point I realized its very important to have a life partner till the rest of my life.

Q: How did you meet with Ramila Bhauju?
I used to lost in my own thoughts after the demise of my first wife. Nothing seemed and looked interesting. It was as if there were no colors to my life. One time during the film shooting I was sitting alone lost in my own thoughts. Basundhara didi was also present there and suggested me to marry again looking at my condition. After that she introduced me to Ramila . Then we started talked and got a good vibe from her and got married.

Q: How was the marriage like?
The wedding took place and Ramila's sister house. The whole process was completed in 19 minutes.

Q: How come Madan Dai was not there during your wedding?
He was in Thailand at the time. We used to talk a lot about the wedding and he gave his blessings over the phone. He played a vital role to make this wedding happen.

Q: Why did you get married secretly?
I invited few people that are close to me. I didn't think it would be appropriate to do a big fat wedding.

Q: Did you think of Meera Bhauju while putting Sindhur?
I did. In fact a lot. I have now considered as a god. She is no more with us and that is why I looked at her photo and asked for her blessings.

Q: How are you feeling right now?
I have to say I am happy.

Q: How about your sons?
Elder son, Trilok, is in US. He couldn't come. However, my younger son Mohit was very happy.

Q: What are people saying about your second marriage?
I know I haven't done anything wrong. So far I have received positive feedback. It would have been completely wrong If I had remarried while Meera was still alive.

I believe he has full right to do whatever he wants in his life...Who are we to say if he did wrong or right. His sons are happy, he is happy , his new wife and her family is happy ,pretty much everyone is Happy so we have to be happy as well.

I am really impressed by his and his new wife's sons decision to get them married. Not everyone can do it for their parents. Half of the time people waste their life thinking about what the society is going to say and how people going to react. Hats off to their kids for thinking about their parents!!!. I hope and pray both of them have a great married life ahead.

Police Interrogate Chapali Height Girl-Binita Baral

Baral after the release of Chapali Height movie has risen to fame with her bold and sexy scenes in the movie. For some reason it looks like Binita Baral cannot stay away from controversies!!

Police arrested television model Nishal Karki and briefly detained actress Binita Baral last nite (June 21, 2012) for allegedly harassing her Chapali Height co-star Raj Ghimire. Though the complaint was filed against Karki, Baral was summoned to establish if she was also involved in cyber crime, police said. Baral claimed that the accusation was baseless.

According to the source, Ghimire filed an FIR against Karki for harassing him and sending threats through Facebook.

I guess after the success of Chapali Height people have gone crazy...sending threats to people through facebook and all....I am not sure when did it become a new trend in Nepal...Well its funny how things are going...
I am not sure who is guilty but for now Karki is still in police custody and Binita Baral was in the police station to refute the charge against karki whom she said was like her brother...

Not sure who is telling the truth...I guess we will have to wait to find out...

Lata Mangeshar to sing Nepali song after 46 years!!

Lata Mangeshkar is one of the best-known and most respected playback singers in India. Whereas Ram Krishna Dhakal is a famous modern, pop and playback singer, actor and reality show judge from Nepal. These two amazing singers are going to record a Nepali song called "Phool Bhancha Phooli Rahoon, Joon Bancha Chamki Rahoon".

Lata Mageshkar has sung few Nepali songs in the past as well. But it is after 46 years she is recording new song with Ram Krishna Dhakal. Both of them are looking forward to the completion of the song.

When two great artist work together they come out with the best of best result!!Anxiously waiting for this song to come out.

Hari Bansha marries again!!!

Our favorite of all Mr. Hari Bansha has tied knot for the second time at the age of 53. Mr Hari Bansha's wife passed away few years back. His new bride, Ramila Pathak is a single mother whose husband passed away ten years ago in an accident. She has a 21 year old son. Mr.Bansha has two sons from his 30 years marriage to Meera.

His wedding took place at the residence of the bride's sister in Kathmandu and only selected members were present for the wedding. Mr. Bansha seems very exited and happy to open new chapter of his life and I am also very happy for the newly wed.

When I first heard about his second marriage I was not sure how to react. In our society men re-marrying at old age is not that uncommon and is not frowned upon. Our society only reacts when women get married for the second time...

But I guess this case is unique. It would have been really bad if he had gotten married to some girl half of his age. But thankfully he got married to a single mother and I hope both of them will be supportive of each other....

My best wishes to Mr. Bansha and Ramila!!!!

Dozen girls have committed suicide after failing SLC exam

The pass percentage of SLC is only 47.16 form 55.50 percent last year. This result has shocked the whole nation. Not sure whom to be blamed; parents , school, government, our education system or the student itself. Worst of all is dozen of girls have committed suicide after failing the exam..
I am deeply sadden by this news..

I strongly believe parents are to be blamed for the growing suicide rate among girls. Kids are put under lot of pressure by their parents. How can 15 or 16 years old handle that much pressure? Girls are mentally and emotionally tortured everyday to pass the exam in flying colors. Not everyone is equipped to work under pressure, which parents don't understand at all..

Even after passing SLC there are equally other tough exams that a students have to go through. But what I fail to understand is why is SLC given so much attention and limelight by the media and parents saying that it is the iron gate of the life..

I don't think its any sort of iron gate or whatever gate...i think its just a regular exam that every other students go through...

However I am sad that lot of girls have committed suicide and I hope and pray that the mentality of parents , education system gets better...

Sexual exploitation in Nepali Entertainment Industry

It is such a shameful thing to say that lots of Nepali Girls are being exploited in Entertainment industries. I am very sad to learn that most of the girls and women working in the night entertainment industry in the Kathmandu Valley suffer from sexual exploitation and are deprived of all their rights. Half of the workers who enter the entertainment industry are barely 21. At the young age of 18 or less they enter the entertainment industry and become the victim of sexual exploitation.

Not sure whom to be blamed for the current situation, Government, Parents, Industry or Ignorance??
Whatever the case is,its government duty to monitor and protect the entertainment industry and check the excesses in the form of sexual exploitation.

The growing dance bars, and the influence of Hollywood and Bollywood culture is somehow corrupting the mind of our society. The lack of monitoring and police control has taken things out of hand as a result majority of the girls have to go through hell everyday. Its not just the physical wound they have to go through but also the emotional pain that they have go through on a regular basis.

Jyoti Khadka aka Jeshika commits suicide

Jyoti Khadka aka Jeshika was found dead at her rented room in Jhonchhe this morning (June 12).
Her body was found hanging from a shawl tied to the ceiling of her room when a team of police investigators reached the scene at around 7:30 am.

Jyoti Khadka started her career at the age of 14 and did a small role in televison comedy show "Tite Kareli". She was also involved in a sex scandal along with the singer Prakash Ojha.
Prakash Ojha had to serve 2 years in Sunsari Jail for sexual exploitation of girls. It is then after Jyoti Khadka changed her name to Jeshika.

According to police, she had talked to filmmaker Baldeep Rai(43), said to be her boyfriend, late last night. Investigators believe that she was drunk and was involved in a heated argument with her boyfriend. Rai and Khadka were supposed to get married but seems like Rai brought up her past sex scandal issues and things got out of proportion.

However Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Jaya Bahadur Chand had declared that there is no foul play involved and its a pure suicide case. The body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital for post-mortem.

Jessica had played lead roles in several movies , including Mero Maya Timilai, Jungle Love, Gahirahi, and Lucky Seven.

Its sad that we have lost such a talent in Nepali movie industry. May her soul rest in peace.

Manisha Koirala back to Bollywood

Manisha, who retired from Bollywood after a sudden marriage in 2010 to Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal who she reportedly met and dated on Facebook, surfaced again in Bollywood this year. The actress, who made some forgettable films lately, looked a sad and sorry shadow of her former gorgeous self; she was grossly overweight, and appeared to be battling other demons in her life besides her poor and indifferent health.

After her marriage didn’t work (at least, unofficially), Manisha Koirala was trying to make a comeback in Bollywood. Producer and director Ram Gopal Varma is making her wish come true with the remake of a horror movie. Fans of Manisha had been curious on the role of Manisha in her upcoming horror movie. Ram Gopal explained that, Manisha will be featured in the movie as a mother of two kids.

Namrata: Rise, Fall & Rise again

Being a celebrity in a movie industry like Nepal’s, is not an easy task. Neither is it worth the time and effort for most, nor does it offer any lucrative incentive. With fame that does not really pay the bills for the lifestyle you embrace; the stardom is artless, somewhat cheap, inelegant and rather short-lived. One reason why the industry sees less “creative” urban yuppies interested in Kollywood (a cheap borrowed version of Bollywood) and a critical mass for an audience, for most here in Kathmandu, it’s not even worth it. Very few take calculated risks and have the courage to bear the brunt of being a star. One is Namrata Shrestha.

And her life is as dramatic as a bad Nepali movie. Or at least the beginning of her career. The month of August 2009 was abuzz with an earful gossip of Namrata’s private sex video, leaked, shocking her newbie fans and supporters of her recently launched career. Few journalists who watched the video callously broke the story in their tabloid, without thinking of any possible unwanted consequences. An actress had committed suicide six years ago over the publishing of her nude photo in one of the weekly tabloids. Many suspected and rumors were afloat that she committed suicide. Most came to the presumptive conclusion that her career was doomed for life, before it even started. Namrata became the talk of the town, but not because of her blossoming career. Her wellwishers were saddened with the whole affair. Her sympathizers stood by her. Most mainstream dailies kept the news out of their priority.

For everyone else, it might have been juicy chatter, but for Namrata, it was her worst nightmare, come true. And the timing could not have been any worse. It happened right after a few days of the release of her second movie “Mero Euta Saathi Chha.” The movie was faring good reviews and people were thronging in to see a somewhat independent movie, which was targeted at Kathmanduites and the urban youth. As she was receiving the waha wahis and syaabash-es from different corners of society, things went spiraling down in her personal life, and that seemed to doom her professional life.

Everyone came up with their own stories, mostly exaggerated or rumored, related to the incident. Some said she died when she went off-the-radar for almost six weeks, while some said she would never again do films.
After almost a year, Namrata says she is “alive,” and “was never gone” and that “life is beautiful.”
Busy shooting Prachanda Man Shrestha’s big-budget debut “Purple Days”, based on a real story, Shrestha shared with Republica, all that she went through during these many months at her restaurant Attic Restro and Bar in Lazimpat.
For someone who was looked upon in the Nepali film industry as a change of guard, whose career was at taking her to make the best of her abilities, that tragic incident took away all that she had worked for in these many years. Formerly a model, a music video actress and a theatre actress, her dreams of making it big in the Nepali movie industry and “changing the way Nepali actresses are viewed” were shattering and her career became that castle of sand by the sea that got swept away by the tide.

“It came to me as a great shock,” she recalled. “Once my private video was out, there were millions of thoughts that went inside my mind ,” Namrata enunciated, remembering those early days after her personal sex tape was released unfortunately. “Definitely, it wasn’t easy to take that lightly. Definitely the road ahead was a tough journey to make”
With the tabloid dailies and weeklies in town printing the footages and publishing the news about her (not to forget blogs with thousands of comment posts), she had millions of thoughts coming to her now and then, leaving her indecisive to do anything. She had thought of calling a press conference, but later changed her mind.

This all happened as she was preparing for her further studies abroad, to study journalism. While all doors of hope were closing before her, surprisingly it was Namrata’s family who stood by her to make her stand on her own again. “If my parents were not there by me, I would not have been able to fight again for my existence,” staring at the attic of the restaurant, she shared.
Those family members of hers who kept on insisting her to fly abroad for her studies until the video scandal, asked her to drop the idea of going abroad and stay back to fight and face the consequences.
For a graduate in journalism, it was unwelcoming to see the tabloid and the dailies of the town assassinating her personal character over a very personal affair. “I had studied yellow journalism just the earlier year. I found out, the hard way, what it really was,” she added relating to the news published in different papers in town during that time.
In a society like Nepal where women are still preferred to live a discreet, chaste and submissive life with much expected of them; it was an ardent task to come out in the open and fight for one’s self respect. And because Namrata Shrestha was an actress, it became even more difficult to deal with the whole situation.

Namrata, who thought there would be helping hands for her in her difficult time, it was a shock to her to realize how many that she thought would always be there for her, turned their heads away. “It really turned me down when people whom I trusted did not show up while I needed them the most,” her moist eyes spoke the rest.
It, however, does not mean that she did not have enough people to support her morally.
“It happens in life. All that matters in the end is how you deal with it. Will you run away from it or will face it is totally in your hands,” the bold and beautiful actress made it loud and clear.
In retrospect, she has come to terms with the realization that perhaps she wasn’t able to handle the situation more appropriately and maintain the stardom as she should have, but she never blames herself for the guilt.
“What was my mistake? Making love! To trust someone! To become an actress! Or to have been born a girl in this orthodox country?” she questioned.
Back to a somewhat normal life now, Shrestha recently showed up as a brand ambassador at the Beach Cricket Tournament that recently took place in Kurintaar. Besides, she also enrolled in some upcoming music videos. Despite the fact that she has moved on, the memories from the past still haunts her today. But she says she will live with that pinch so she can carefully walk ahead in the days to come.
“I learned a lot,” she says, adding the whole ups and downs in her life have helped her grow as a better human being; also to be more responsible of her duties.
“I’ve learnt to live life properly. I’ve realized how important I was and I am to so many people. I’ve started loving myself even more.”

Accepting all that comes before her, this daring actress says she will never give up. She has a few names to thank for making her realize that her life is still worth living. First, it obviously has to be her parents, and then she will never forget what her best friend RJ and model Raymon Shrestha did for her, what the station manager of Kantipur FM did, and the moral support she received from lawyer and constituent assembly member Sapana Pradhan Malla, managing director of Quest Entertainment and film producer Bhaskar Dhungana, and her movie producer Prabhu SJB Rana.

“I won’t die unsuccessful. I’ll never step back. I still have a lot more to do,” the spark in her eyes made it ever so clear.

Chapali Height Poster Change----SERIOUSLY????

Well I have to say this is really really really absurd....To begin with I dint think for a second that the original posters of Chappli Height were that disturbing....but when the police didn’t allow the posters and hoarding board advertisement of Chapali Height to be displayed in the public, the film makers were forced to re-design the poster.

In the new poster the nude actors are featured wearing clothes. The designers have photoshoped the posters to add cloths... WELL WHAT CAN I SAY......I GUESS WHAT EVER IS BEST FOR JANTA..:)

Better comparison of the posters:

2 lakh – Binita Baral’s New Rate

After the success of ‘Chapali Height’, Chapali girl Binita Baral has told that she has set her rate to 2 lakh per movie. Binita claimed that that was what happened in Bollywood when Vidya Balan increased her rate after the success of ‘Dirty Pictures’.

I didn't the pay is so low in Nepali Film Industry. After the immense success of Chapali Height, Binita Baral rate hikep up to just 2 lakhs...I am happy for her, but at the same time was shocked to know the low pay scale of Nepali Actors and Actresses. I hope the Nepali Movie Industry grows in coming years in a very constructive and creative way...

All the best to Nepali Movie Industry.......

Nepali hairy mum Devi Budhathoki, 3 children treated for werewolf syndrome

FAMILY which suffer from a condition called 'werewolf syndrome' have arrived in Nepal hoping they can be cured.

Devi Budhathoki, 37, her daughters, aged 13 and five, and 12-year-old son say they have endured constant humiliation because of hypertrichosis, a rare genetic condition which causes hair to sprout between their eyes and across their brows.

"My children have talked about a new life ever since we received word that the hospital was going to treat us," said Ms Budhathoki, a farmer from the remote northwestern village of Khare, near the border with the Tibetan border.

Sufferers from hypertrichosis, also known as "werewolf syndrome", have in previous centuries been used as freakshow performers at circuses.

"My son is fed up with the mockery he is subjected to and he has told his friends that he will be back with a new face so they can no longer tease him. More than myself, I'm worried about my children," Ms Budhathoki said.

"But I am very happy that the treatment is going to be possible. We have lived under constant harassment, my kids wouldn't want to go to school because of the hair," she said.

Ms Budhathoki and her husband Nara also have a seven-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter who have not been affected by the condition.

"The best procedure for them will be laser treatment to remove the hair," said Shankar Man Rai, a surgeon at the Kathmandu Model Hospital who will supervise their treatment.

Nepali Guy Arrested for killing Girlfriend

I am not sure how to react on these kinds of news anymore....Its such a shame that killing each others has become a norm in our country. I am stunned by these sort of heinous crime committed by our so called new generation or lets say youth of our country.

A guy makes a girl pregnant and the only way he saw himself getting out of the situation is by killing her. WOW!!! When things like this happens I fail to understand whom to blame for this whole situation. There is no doubt in my mind that the GUY is solely responsible for taking someone else's life. In this case killing two lives. One of the girl and one of the fetus. I hope he rots in hell for doing this....

I hope the Victim in this case the Girl Rests in Peace. I am truly saddened by the below news....

-----

Nepali Movie Chapali Height Review!!

Chapali Height is based on a plot where a couple(Bini and Amir) flees from Pokhara to stay at Amir's friend (Raj)'s home situated at Chapali (a village in north side of Kathmandu) and confusing sexual chemistry rolls in, which leads to a thrilling turn. Besides that no more thing to tell, otherwise the full story will be out. Movie is a mix of physical and little less adventurous ride that misses to mingle along, but the movie has something in entertaining people (not me though). This could only be done when the Director/Producers think and put sequences with the viewers on their mind. Erotic scenes, Beep words, thrilling sequences, and some funny dialogues...all are there to amuse/arouse you.

Technically, presentation style is ok with whole lot of isometric views and repeated ticking sound but misses a good background score in the thrilling sequences. As much of the movie is shot in dark, light reflections has been done wonderfully but lacks the clearness that you expect from New Digital tech Cinema. The movie takes the normal flow of plot besides some flashing sequences. Bini's character done by debutant Actress Beenita Baral shadows Actor duo, Amir Gautam and Raj Ghimire both being debutant. Full of slips, weird acting, shouting dialogues and confused theme won't stop people to go to watch the cinema. So is it early to say another big hit in Nepali Film industry after LOOT ? I say no.

Today I know why Beenita was so confident in Chapali Height that it's gonna win the heart of Nepali youths. The movie has the tickling power to grab the woos of young mind. Three characters, night party, Sexual sequences, Boozing, Puking, SMS's, threesome, thrill action, beep dialogues all have equal weight in making the movie a hit. Especially teenagers were really loving the movie with a single reaction....superb. Though other people were also there to add "bakwash". It is also worth mentioning for a adult certified movie to have such beeps and sexual content but its of no use unless the gatekeepers in Cinema-hall checks people's age. I would also like to add that a rocking song is missing in the movie other than Sabin Rai's title track which could have added much more excitement in the people.

Sweta Lamichhane

You may have read about her already. She's referred to as the the first Nepali Girl in Hollywood, a girl with big dreams and ambitions. Why not? If we have the power to dream then BIG is the way to go. Patan born Sweta Lamichhane currently lives in the US and also happens to be the first Nepalese woman in the United States Marines Corps. Sweta, who is now a US military veteran juggles many aspects of her life like a true star. From studying to working as an actress, model and a singer this energetic soul is already on the process of starting her own skincare and make-up business.

When asked about the challenges that one faces in Hollywood, Sweta explains 'Everyone in Hollywood is an actress/actor and if you're not an actress, you work in the industry! The whole town seems to be competing against each other. It’s very cut-throat. I felt very out of place there.' Being a Beverly Hills Playhouse graduate, Sweta fished around for auditions while she lived in Hollywood, however it wasnt long till she realized that her job as a hostess then was restricting her from pursuing her creative path. To be content and satisfied Sweta made her big move to the Eastside to which she credits for the good thing's that have happened so far.

Since then Sweta now boasts of receiving good amount of call backs, projects and green light at auditions. Lamichhane will also be showcasing her triple threat when she releases her album for which the first single is already online; Little Thing Called Love. This year alone Sweta worked in four independent films which will all be screened at various film festivals including the Sundance. Having just been nominated for the 'Human Values Award', Hollywood should surely watch out for Sweta and we should encourage this Nepalki chori to consistently work harder and grow.
